The role:

You will work autonomously on a range of clients with workloads being dependent on the agreed tasks of each client. With a focus on the completion of the engagement, you will need to have the flexibility to work off-site or at clients’ workplace if needed.

The role will include:

  • Working with a range of clients and industries.
  • Working with various cloud-based accounting packages including as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB.
  • Preparation of Payroll, BAS & IAS liaising directly with client and supported by our Advisory team.
  • Assist in preparing financial information and reports for Accountants, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Month end and Year end processing, reconciliations, and data allocation reviews
  • Involvement in team communications and training meetings

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will enter the business with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in Data administration. Experience working in a bookkeeping/accounting firm will be a distinct advantage

As a key member of the team, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Team Player, self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy.

You will work autonomously on a range of clients ensuring both the PWS Advisory Team and clients are providing with accurate, timely and efficiently prepared financial and management reports.

Integrity of data is pivotal to this role, ensuring the interface between the Client and PWS Advisory Group is enhanced and developed, applying best practice technology.

With a focus on the completion of the engagement, you will need to have the flexibility to work off-site or at clients’ workplace if needed.

The role will include:

  • Working with a range of clients and industries, with direct contact with clients
  • Preparation of Management Reports
    • Dashboard Reports
    • Budgets
    • Cashflows
  • Working with various accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, and MYOB, including.
    • Payroll & STP
    • General Ledger and Chart of Account maintenance
  • Implement appropriate accounting systems and procedures, utilizing cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and MYOB
  • Review and educate clients on best practice systems and procedures, including automation as applicable, to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of client data.
  • Supervision and development of team members
  • Involvement in team training

About You:

Accountant

The role:

Reporting to the Team Manager, the Accountant is directly responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant with the completion of the Annual Compliance work for a portfolio of clients.The Accountant will manage own workflow with the supervision of the Senior Accountant.

The role will include:

  • Assist with completion of annual compliance requirements for portfolio of clients as instructed by Senior Accountant,
  • Support to the Team with fostering trusted relationships with clients and other relevant associates
  • Continue to develop working knowledge of taxation and business issues applicable for SME clients .
  • Assist Senior Accountant as instructed with working directly with PWS team members and third-party associates in completion of relevant tasks to deliver clients overall financial goals and objectives

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will have completed a university degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business and working towards a CPA/CA qualification. You will enter the business with a minimum of 2 years experience in Tax Accounting.

As a key member of the team, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Working knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Working tax knowledge applicable for SME clients
  • Experience with accounting software e.g. MYOB and Quickbooks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
